Improving Langley Bus Routes: TransLink’s Priority Projects

Langley’s bus routes are facing efficiency challenges, as highlighted in TransLink’s recent Bus Priority Vision report.

TransLink’s report identifies 20 corridors in Metro Vancouver requiring urgent investments to reduce bus delays caused by traffic congestion.

According to TransLink CEO Kevin Quinn, worsening traffic conditions have resulted in longer bus travel times for customers. These delays cost over $80 million annually, prompting a commitment to implement new bus priority measures.

Among the top priorities is the 200th Street corridor, connecting to Golden Ears Way and the Golden Ears Bridge, frequented by the 501 and 595 buses.

TransLink‘s focus on improving bus efficiency aims to enhance transit experiences and reduce delays for passengers across Langley and Metro Vancouver bus routes.
