The purpose of the Aldergrove Community Plan is to provide for long range orderly development in accordance with stated objectives; guide for day-to-day decision-making in the development process of the area; the basis for the preparation and adoption of the capital works program based on need; and the basis for the preparation and adoption of land use regulating bylaws and amendments to them.

The Brookswood–Fernridge Community Plan forms part of the Township of Langley’s Official Community Plan (OCP), establishing the long-range vision for sustainable neighbourhood growth. Any detailed neighbourhood plans that apply to portions of this area must align with the guiding policies of the Community Plan.

The Carvolth Neighbourhood Plan provides the vision and implementation framework for creating a walkable, transit-supportive, and highly urban district at a key gateway to Langley. Designed to highlight high-quality design, balanced housing and employment, and sustainable development, the area is expected to accommodate about 5,000 residents and 12,800 jobs when fully built out by 2041.

The Central Gordon Estate Neighbourhood Plan establishes direction for future growth by creating a comprehensive decision-making framework for land use, the natural environment, community services, transportation, and engineering. Its goal is to maintain a high quality of life based on a strategy of completeness, livability, economic strength, and environmental health.

The Jericho Sub-Neighbourhood Plan (SNP) guides future growth and development within the Jericho area of Willoughby. It sets the policy and design framework for a large, comprehensively planned neighbourhood featuring higher-density mixed-use housing, commercial and institutional uses, and public parks and recreation amenities. Part of the plan focuses on creating a 55+ adult-oriented community with integrated health-care services.

The Latimer Neighbourhood Plan, part of the broader Willoughby Community Plan, was prepared following Council’s 2010 authorization. It delivers detailed land-use direction for the Latimer area and is supported by an engineering servicing plan outlining required and proposed infrastructure, including transportation, water, sewer, and stormwater systems.

Murrayville is located along both sides of the Fraser Highway, just east of Langley City. The area covers roughly 550 hectares (1,360 acres) and had a population of about 1,862 in 1986. Primarily residential and agricultural, it also contains pockets of commercial and industrial activity. Growth has historically been slow due to sewer limitations, but new sewer infrastructure is expected to support higher development rates moving forward.

This plan guides future development in the Northeast Gordon Estate neighbourhood by promoting a sustainable, responsible, and livable community. It establishes a decision-making framework for residential and commercial uses, environmental protection, community facilities, and essential services such as water, sewer, and drainage. The plan was updated in 2012 following a review of the 208 Street corridor.

Routley is one of the few areas in Willoughby designated for accommodating urban forms of development. While the Willoughby Plan outlines broad growth direction, the Routley Neighbourhood Plan provides detailed policies for land use, community amenities, infrastructure services, and financing for the area bounded by 68 Avenue (south), 196 Street (west), 200 Street (east), and roughly 73A Avenue (north). It establishes values and principles for creating a cohesive new neighbourhood.

The Smith Neighbourhood Plan provides detailed land-use direction for an area within Willoughby and is supported by an Engineering Services Plan that identifies required and future infrastructure. This includes transportation systems, utilities, stormwater management, and community services to guide development.

Walnut Grove is a major growth area in the Township of Langley. First initiated in 1979, the Walnut Grove Community Plan outlines a self-contained community with a strong residential base and complementary commercial and institutional services. The urban area adjacent to 96 Avenue is expected to reach a population of approximately 22,000 at full build-out.

The Williams Neighbourhood Plan defines the long-term vision, goals, and policies guiding growth over the next 20+ years. It includes frameworks for land use, open space, pedestrian connections, mobility, community identity, infrastructure, and financial planning, helping shape a complete and vibrant neighbourhood.

The Yorkson Neighbourhood Plan provides comprehensive guidance for future growth by establishing a decision-making framework for land use, the natural environment, transportation, engineering services, and community amenities. Its core objective is to maintain a high quality of life for current and future Yorkson residents, based on the principles of completeness, livability, fiscal accountability, economic prosperity, and environmental stewardship.
