Only if the Contract of Purchase and Sale says so. Quota does not simply run with the land. Any transfer must be applied for by both parties and approved by the applicable marketing board, and it isn’t included in a sale unless expressly stated in the Contract of Purchase and Sale. For chicken the board requires approved premises before allotting transferred quota; for egg / layer quota, transfers generally move through BC Egg’s Provincial Quota Exchange, with specific exceptions such as a bona fide going-concern sale.
