Neighbourhood guide · FVRD Electoral Area D · Bridal Falls
Bridal Falls is an unincorporated community in the Fraser Valley Regional District (FVRD) Electoral Area D, east of the City of Chilliwack. It is not inside the City, and no official boundary for it was found. The FVRD’s Electoral Area D Housing Needs Report (March 2021) describes Area D, which includes Popkum and Bridal Falls, as bounded by the Fraser River to the northwest, Electoral Area B to the north and east, Electoral Area E to the south and the City of Chilliwack to the west. It describes Bridal Falls as a highway-services community with several tourist and recreation attractions. See all Chilliwack neighbourhood guides.

Schools
Chilliwack is in School District 33 (SD33). SD33’s Long Range Facilities Plan says its elementary schools are kindergarten to grade 5, its middle schools grades 6 to 8 and its secondary schools grades 9 to 12. Names, grades and addresses from the SD33 District Directory 2025-26 and the Province’s school list. Collected from official pages on October 13 and 14, 2026.
UNVERIFIED: I did not confirm the grades 9 to 12 catchment school for Bridal Falls addresses. Confirm it with SD33 before you rely on it. Catchments are set by address, so confirm a specific address with the SD33 School Locator.

Planning, zoning and flood
Plans, zoning and flood rules can be different for each lot.
Bridal Falls is outside the City of Chilliwack, so City zoning does not apply. The FVRD sets zoning for Electoral Area D. Send me the address and I’ll point you to the right FVRD rules.

BC Transit route 71 Agassiz–Harrison runs between Downtown Chilliwack and Harrison Hot Springs, through Rosedale, and its on-request trips can route to Bridal Falls. That means Bridal Falls is served on request, not by a fixed stop on every trip. I found no other BC Transit route serving Bridal Falls. See the route 71 page.
Rosedale Traditional Community School (kindergarten to grade 8), at 50850 Yale Rd, is the SD33 school on the Rosedale, Popkum and Bridal Falls side of the district. No school is in Bridal Falls itself. UNVERIFIED: I did not confirm the secondary school. Check an exact address with the SD33 School Locator.
Bridal Veil Falls Provincial Park is 16 km east of Chilliwack, off Exit 135, with a loop trail to a viewing platform. Cheam Lake Wetlands Regional Park (53480 Elgey Road) is a 107-hectare FVRD park with a floating boardwalk and no pets allowed. There is no library branch in Bridal Falls. The nearest are Chilliwack Library (45860 First Avenue) and Agassiz Library (7140 Cheam Avenue).
The Popkum-Bridal Falls (Area D) Official Community Plan, FVRD Bylaw No. 1501, adopted by the FVRD Board in January 2021.
I did not find an FVRD or BC document stating a flood or debris-flow hazard for the Bridal Falls area, so I make no flood claim for the area. At Bridal Veil Falls, BC Parks warns the base of the falls is extremely hazardous, with slippery footing and falling rock and ice. Ask me or the FVRD about a specific lot.
ALR status is set parcel by parcel, so check the exact address on the Agricultural Land Commission map. I did not find an official page giving an ALR share or boundary for Bridal Falls.
