Fort Langley’s heritage rules shape what owners can change, so check them before you buy.

  • The Fort Langley Community Plan was adopted in 1987 and made the downtown a heritage alteration permit area.
  • The downtown became a heritage conservation area in 1997.
  • Changes in a heritage conservation area generally need a Heritage Alteration Permit.
  • The Township’s OCP update includes draft directions for a community plan covering Aldergrove, Fort Langley, Murrayville, Northwest Langley and Walnut Grove.
