Is Aldergrove part of the Township of Langley or the City of Langley?

Aldergrove is one of the communities in the Township of Langley, not the City of Langley (Tourism Langley). The City of Langley is a separate municipality of about 10 square kilometres (City of Langley), so Township bylaws and services apply to Aldergrove homes.

How do I find the school catchment for an Aldergrove home?

Aldergrove Secondary is one of the six secondary schools on the Langley School District's catchment maps. Catchments follow the street address, not the community name, so enter the address in the district's School Locator and confirm before you buy.

Aldergrove Houses for Sale and Other Homes

Most homes for sale in Aldergrove are detached houses, many on town lots near the core at Fraser Highway and 272 Street, with rural acreages around the edge of town. Townhomes, condos and manufactured homes also come up for sale. Aldergrove is on the eastern border of the Township of Langley, and the Township describes it as a small urban-rural community.

  • Town centre (core area): The Aldergrove Core Area Plan covers about 80 acres centred on Fraser Highway and 272 Street. The plan expects about 6,650 people in the core by 2041, so ask what is planned around any home near the centre.
  • Established streets: Detached houses on town lots, close to the Aldergrove Community Centre at 27032 Fraser Highway, with its arena, fitness centre and pools.
  • Rural Aldergrove: Land outside the urban area falls under the Township's Rural Plan, and most of it is in the Agricultural Land Reserve. These are the acreage and hobby-farm listings.
  • Near the regional park: Aldergrove Regional Park covers 280 hectares across Langley and Abbotsford, with walking and riding trails and an off-leash dog area off Lefeuvre Road.
  • South of town: The Aldergrove port of entry on Highway 13 is open daily from 8am to midnight.
