Neighbourhood guide · City of White Rock
White Rock is its own city, separate from Surrey, set above the sandy beach and shallow water of Semiahmoo Bay. It covers 5.12 square kilometres and has 21,939 residents, and it was established as a city in 1957. White Rock sits on the unceded territory of the Semiahmoo First Nation, who call the white boulder on the beach P’Quals. The waterfront, Five Corners and Uptown each have shops, restaurants and services. Homes range from strata buildings to houses on the hillside, so the view, the slope and the strata papers usually need as much attention as the home itself.
