Planning in Bear Creek Green Timbers

Zoning and plan designations can be different for each lot.

  • The City’s Fleetwood Plan starts at Green Timbers Urban Forest and runs east along Fraser Highway. Ask the City which plan, if any, covers a specific address.
  • In 1988 and 1996, Surrey residents voted to designate parts of Green Timbers as urban forest.

  1. Check what is planned nearby. Ask the City what is proposed for the lots around the home, especially near Fraser Highway.
  2. Near Bear Creek, check the land. Ask the City about streamside setbacks and any covenants on title.

  4. For a strata home, read the documents: the depreciation report, meeting minutes, bylaws and fees, plus any special levies.
